If you find that daily compliments give you much-needed emotional support, you might consider making a monthly return on your own.
Maybe that helps in the food bank on the third weekend of each month, or donate watching your friend’s kids one night a month.
20. Take them out .
No one to go out with? Well, what law says you can't go out alone?
Go to your favorite restaurant, take a movie, or go on a journey that you have always dreamed of.
Even if you are a public butterfly, deliberately spending some time alone can help you to reconnect with activities that are truly exciting.
21. Make a list of ideas .
You arrive at an appointment with 10 minutes that you will not use. What were you doing at the time?
Take your cell phone to browse social media?
Worried about the busy week you have before you?
Control your thoughts during these short window sessions. At the beginning of each month, make a short list of happy memories or things you look forward to in a small piece of paper or on your phone. If you find yourself waiting for a ride, standing in line at a restaurant, or just a few minutes to kill, get off the list. You can use it when you just feel down often and need to change your mind.

People change, so think about where you are going and imagine if there is still where you want to go. You are not ashamed to change your game.

As you develop habits to enhance your happiness, be sure to follow the usual guidelines for taking care of your body:
• see your primary care physician every year
• take care of any chronic health conditions and see a specialist as recommended
• see a dentist for an oral examination and follow up as recommended
• check your opinion
